Sometimes life just throws you a curve ball. Just two weeks before Nationals, Carasu
crushed her right knee, thus ending her promising show career. For Sue, who had just returned to the show ring, the loss of
this beautiful black mare was heartbreaking. Carasu is currently undergoing stem cell therapy in hopes that she can carry
a foal. The process is long and difficult as Carasu still thinks that she is a show horse and does not take idle time well.
Such is the spirit of the Morgan horse, wanting to work and wanting to please and not understanding that her career is over.
The prognosis for this 15.3 h. black mare is guarded; we wait for a favorable outcome to this sudden tragedy.

First Regional representation under the breeding farm banner since 1976. These
mares, by the same dam, were raised and trained exclusively by Chris and Sue Nerland. Our thanks to Ken-Mar Winston for producing exceptional
foals who can hold their own in a competitive arena.
